A professional Ironman triathlete and vegan, Brendan Brazier has defied the normal regimen of professional athletes to reap the health and performance benefits of a plant-based diet and whole nutrition lifestyle. As best-selling author of Thrive (Penguin/Da Capo 2007) and soon-to-be-released Thrive Fitness (Penguin/Da Capo 2010), Brendan’s philosophy of whole food, plant-based nourishment and supplemental fitness program is inspiring to anyone interested in obtaining optimal health, increasing energy and sustaining the best possible quality of life. Brendan believes the solution to our society’s health and weight problems lies in convenient, alkaline, plant-based foods that balance individuals’ inner pH levels and provide the necessary amount of protein, fiber, nutrients and antioxidants.

For years, Brazier unsuccessfully searched for convenient whole foods to sustain his intense training regiment and vegan philosophy. With the need for proper nourishment and peak energy levels on the go, he began making his own plant-based drinks and hauling his blender everywhere he traveled. After a car accident in 2003, Brazier’s naturopathy suggested Sequel Natural’s MacaSure and ChlorEssence plant supplements to promote faster healing. Within eight weeks, he was back to competing in triathlons, and attributes the speedy healing to the plant-based supplements and whole food diet.
Inspired by the effectiveness of their products, Brazier teamed up with Sequel Naturals to formulate Vega, his delicious, plant-based product line. Vega products are a convenient way for busy individuals to get the nutrient and energy benefits of raw, whole foods without high calories or bland taste.

Vega, which includes delicious flavors of drink formulas, snack bars and oil blends, are all-natural, gluten, wheat, soy and allergen-free. They provide 100% of the recommended daily vitamins and minerals and a wealth of other plant nutrients, including chlorella, maca and Omega 3s in easy, on-the-go form.

In addition to two acclaimed books and popular national speaking engagements, Brendan’s unique online program, “Thrive in 30,” shows individuals how to reach optimal health and vitality in 30 days. In his free e-newsletter, Brendan not only dispels common myths about plant-based diets, but offers easy-to-adopt nutrition tips and fitness advice to enhance any lifestyle - from vegan to omnivore. Individuals can learn how to fight stress, alkalize the body’s pH to fight disease, lose weight, increase athletic performance, and transform their entire outlook through whole, plant-based foods and high net-gain nutrition.
